The entire team were friendly, approachable and great to work with - right down to 1 on 1 tutorials on how to maintain a garden. Also wanted to call out that through unforseen circumstances, we were left with a short turnaround and when we approached Kate, was reserved to the fact we were likely not going to meet that. Kate was amazing and was able to accomodate the timeframes and my wife and I are very appreciative of what Kate and her team were able to do. Cant recommend the team highly enoughPosted on Patrick MorganTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Huge thanks to Kate and her team for the amazing work on our garden. From start to finish the process was positive and collaborative. We felt part of the process and empowered to share ideas and suggestions (a nice change from a lot of trades we've interacted with over the years). They worked closely with us from the initial design right through to execution, and the end result is a beautiful native garden we absolutely love. Couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out.Posted on Gerard HynesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Living Senses do such amazing work. From the first contact to discuss what I was looking for, to the planning and execution of the garden, Kate listened and took the time to explain everything through. My new garden is absolutely beautiful and it was so nice to watch the vision come to life. Would highly recommend Kate and the team at Living Senses - they are incredible!!Posted on RodneyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If I could give more stars, I would. 7 out of 5 stars!! After reviewing a few landscapers in the area online, I decided to reach out to Living Senses because I loved their approach. Meeting Kate and discussing both my vision and hers for my garden confirmed that I made the right decision. During our first in-person meeting, Kate's landscaping design, plant knowledge, warmth, and friendly manner shone through. I was excited about what was in store for the garden! Everyone I met from Living Senses who worked in my back and front yard was exceedingly lovely and easy to work with. Nothing was too much trouble, and the care and love poured into the garden over nearly two weeks was a rare thing and very much appreciated. The design is exceptional, and it is a vision to admire, thanks to the Living Senses team. Even the site clean-up exceeded my expectations. My garden will now flourish, and I am one very happy owner. Thank you to the whole Living Senses team for my new garden. Rodney.Posted on Chris FeenaneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Living Senses do such incredible work, I cannot recommend them enough. They've completely transformed our outdoor spaces from tired and boring, to a beautiful oasis. Kate and her team worked so efficiently and were all so friendly and communicative. We are so pleased with the results and can't wait to see our garden flourish in the years to come.Posted on Jessica HarrisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kate and her team have been so caring, consistent and encouraged us to dream and create a space that matches our families needs and ethos - whilst still fitting within our busy lives and available resources. I entered the process feeling I knew nothing about landscaping. Sure I know what feels right to me, and what functionality we wanted, but beyond that I had zero clue how to pull it together and make it all just feel right. Enter Kate and her team. They have an amazing way of helping you follow what feels right for you, and connect with it, and then carry you through the process to help us articulate this. The visual proposal was stunning. And the teams presentation played back everything we'd discussed - which was an impressive effort, cos we did discuss a lot. They took our families current and future requirements, and helped us turn our vibes and notions, into a fully laid out plan that really encapsulated who we are as individuals and also accounts for the collective needs of our family and little community. Honestly - I was so impressed. I have been so impressed with all members of the living senses team. And the collaboration approach is so wonderfully delivered, even my parter who is less wordy and feely than I - was expressing and enjoying the process - and that is cool to see. I would be more than happy to refer Kate and her team. They really hear you, and take the time to make sure you are empowered with knowledge to make your landscape right for you. Thanks team, Jess. P.S. Petes review "👍" - high praise indeed 😉Posted on Ed JessopTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend the Living Senses Group. Kate's garden design is stunning, and we had such a wonderful experience working with her team.Posted on Amanda BenningTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My new garden makes my heart sing! I would not hesitate in recommending Living Senses Group for all your landscaping needs. They are a well oiled team of specialists in their given fields of landscaping, hardscaping, excavation, design etc. Special mention to Kate, Troy, Dylan, Ben and Lucas for their tireless efforts on my exceptionally steep backyard, together with all the apprentice's who were very keen to learn and worked hard during a Melbourne winter. We had fun along the way and I enjoyed getting my hands dirty too. Nothing was too much trouble and all communication was open and receptive. I'm already receiving compliments from friends on how my garden looks, and they only finished yesterday! It's only going to get better and better for many years to come. A BIG thank you.Posted on Alicia SalvoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just wow! Frequently Asked Questions About Garden Design
We design gardens that you love and mean something to you! You are unique and your design will reflect this. Gardens can give great joy and even have a healing effect when designed thoughtfully. We take pride in designing gardens that become mindful outdoor spaces, healing gardens or even therapeutic landscapes. See our Portfolio for some of our projects.
Therapeutic, healing or inspirational gardens are outdoor spaces that are designed especially for people with needs. These needs can be emotional, physical and/or mental. Hospital gardens are perhaps the best known ‘healing gardens’. However, residential gardens and public spaces can be designed to offer a place of solace and healing too.
Scientific research by Roger Ulrich and others has proven that green spaces positively influences the healing and recovery process. With rising levels of depression, anxiety, dementia, autism, the need to connect to nature is greater than ever before!
At Living Senses we believe in and promote the healing effect of gardens and nature in general.

You can also opt in for a Garden Consultation. For a fee of $250 Kate, the owner will come to you for approx. 1.5 hours. The consultation fee will be deducted if you decide to move ahead with our design and/or landscaping services.
Throughout the years we’ve designed spaces ranging from small courtyards up to large country gardens. We have worked on both residential gardens and public spaces that our clients treasure.
We believe that every garden can be made special and meaningful. A small space can make a big impact and look larger if designed well. A large garden can be divided into smaller ‘garden rooms’ for intimacy. We’re here to assist you no matter the size of your garden!
Design costs may vary due to the complexity of your site (e.g. slope, existing plants and features). However, different price ranges are available for the service packs on offer, such as planting suggestions for existing garden beds up to to full masterplan designs. This allows you to choose a service that suits your needs and budget.
Our clients have saved a lot of money by us sourcing plants and materials at wholesale prices (usually 25-50% cheaper than Bunnings Garden Centre and other major retailers). You can also use your garden design to get competitive and comparable quotes from landscape contractors.
Have you ever had plants die after you put them in the ground? With a professional site & soil analysis and planting plan, any future investment in plants won’t go to waste!
You can expect an open and transparent approach from us. Our aim is to make the process work for you and your budget. We support and look after our locals, pensioners and community organisations. Clients who provide house plans get a discount too.
