Lane Electrical2024-08-03It has been such a great experience working with Kate and the team from Living Senses Group as an electrical sub contractor on their projects. Kate and the team produce some incredible designs and really bring a unique touch of their own to landscape gardening. We're lucky enough to work with Living Senses Group to execute their garden lighting and electrical components of the projects, helping to give life to the amazing work at all hours of the day and night.Rachel Mortley2024-07-29Kate and her lovely team won us over at the first meeting. You could sense straight away that Kate really cares about what she does. The whole process was a pleasure, from initial planing to garden design, plant choice etc. She makes a point of really getting to know you and what you're looking for. On the landscaping days her whole team were amazing. They encouraged the kids to help out and created something so beautiful that's it's a joy to open the curtains in the morning. We look forward to working with Kate and the team again for part 2 of our garden.Meriana Bishop2024-07-21Kate and her team were great to deal with - very approachable and professional. We had a less than satisfactory experience with another company and wish we had met Kate at the beginning. Her work is exceptional and we are now thrilled with our garden. Thank you, Kate and team 🙏Roger Dunkley2024-06-26Kate and team did a great job re landscaping our property. They listened to our needs, came up with a great design and executed the project very well.amanda mair2024-06-17I rarely write reviews, so I wanted this one to really mean something, which is why it’s taken me so long to submit it (sorry Kate!). I still find it difficult to put into words, how happy/relieved we are to have found Living Senses and Kate, both from a professional standpoint and a personal one. For years we searched for someone to help with our large & problematic landscaping needs, and the minute Kate walked through the front door, I knew we’d finally found “the one”. It was such a relief to talk to a professional with extensive horticultural knowledge and a beautiful, skilled eye for design which, I have discovered over the years, is surprisingly lacking in the industry. To have someone actually listen to what we were wanting and hoping for, and fully commit to achieving those goals with us, was a breath of fresh air. On a personal level, Kate is an absolute delight. She is friendly, empathetic and honest, qualities also reflected by those she employs. Our block presented a number of challenges to Kate’s team, but they did an incredible job and were an absolute pleasure to have around, our Newfie pup certainly didn’t mind the extra love & attention! Kate and the whole crew, really went above and beyond all expectations, not only would I not hesitate to recommend them, I would thoroughly encourage anyone to give Living Senses a call. They not only work to the highest professional standards, they are a genuinely, lovely group of people. To Kate, Brendan, Amelia, Dylan, Warwick, “Alan the Brickie” and the rest of the crew, we can’t thank you enough and look forward to working with you all again on future projects… and please tell Fabian, Tilly say’s “Hi!” Amanda & JamieClaudia Ait-Touati2024-05-24I attended a workshop on ecotherapy hosted by the wonderful Kate. Although apprehensive at first, I was blown away by the impact this workshop had on not just me but all attendees. It was very powerful, but at the same time super fun! The workshop connected the group on a different level through nature. Just amazing! Highly recommend!Jayne Wilson2024-05-22Very professional and knowledgeable team. Nothing was a problem for them . Kate is a highly skilled designer and her team can take the job through from earthworks and hard landscaping all the way through to planting and finishing.Franca Rigby2024-03-11We had the absolute pleasure of working with Kate and her team to create a new garden. Upon the first meeting with Kate I knew she would deliver something amazing, and she went above and beyond our expectations. Kate is friendly, thoughtful, professional and dedicated to listening to customer wishes. These qualities extend to her team who all worked so thoughtfully and professionally on site. Together they created our new outdoor haven with minimal disruption, even while working in the midst of storm activity. Kate’s passion for her work and consideration of the therapeutic aspect of nature means she delivers a unique and holistic landscaping experience, not just a garden. I highly recommend Living Senses.Daryl Maunder2023-12-20Kate and all of her team were amazing, great to work with. They listened to what we wanted and came up with a lovely garden for us. Frequently Asked Questions About Ecotherapy
We design gardens that you love and mean something to you! You are unique and your design will reflect this. Gardens can give great joy and even have a healing effect when designed thoughtfully. We take pride in designing gardens that become mindful outdoor spaces, healing gardens or even therapeutic landscapes. See our Portfolio for some of our projects.
Therapeutic, healing or inspirational gardens are outdoor spaces that are designed especially for people with needs. These needs can be emotional, physical and/or mental. Hospital gardens are perhaps the best known ‘healing gardens’. However, residential gardens and public spaces can be designed to offer a place of solace and healing too.
Scientific research by Roger Ulrich and others has proven that green spaces positively influences the healing and recovery process. With rising levels of depression, anxiety, dementia, autism, the need to connect to nature is greater than ever before!
At Living Senses we believe in and promote the healing effect of gardens and nature in general.

Yes, absolutely! It gives you the chance to meet the designer and discuss your ideas with an expert.
This ‘Meet & Greet’ is free of charge with no obligation. It usually takes 30 minutes. Weekdays and weekends in daylight hours are available. Contact us via phone or email to book a time for your ‘Meet & Greet’.
You can also opt in for a Garden Consultation. For a fee of $250 Kate, the owner will come to you for approx. 1.5 hours. As an experienced horticulturist, designer and landscaper, she’ll share invaluable tips and tricks to make your garden flourish. The consultation fee will be deducted if you decide to move ahead with our design and/or landscaping services.
Throughout the years we’ve designed spaces ranging from small courtyards up to large country gardens. We have worked on both residential gardens and public spaces that our clients treasure.
We believe that every garden can be made special and meaningful. A small space can make a big impact and look larger if designed well. A large garden can be divided into smaller ‘garden rooms’ for intimacy. We’re here to assist you no matter the size of your garden!
Design costs may vary due to the complexity of your site (e.g. slope, existing plants and features). However, different price ranges are available for the service packs on offer, such as planting suggestions for existing garden beds up to to full masterplan designs. This allows you to choose a service that suits your needs and budget.
Our clients have saved a lot of money by us sourcing plants and materials at wholesale prices (usually 25-50% cheaper than Bunnings Garden Centre and other major retailers). You can also use your garden design to get competitive and comparable quotes from landscape contractors.
Have you ever had plants die after you put them in the ground? With a professional site & soil analysis and planting plan, any future investment in plants won’t go to waste!
You can expect an open and transparent approach from us. Our aim is to make the process work for you and your budget. We support and look after our locals, pensioners and community organisations. Clients who provide house plans get a discount too.
